Introducing the Kenwood BM250 breadmaker. This bread machine is probably the best value-for-money breadmaker currently on the UK market. It includes all the features you'd expect, but costs half the price as most other breadmakers.
The Kenwood BM250 is now a very old machine. First released back in 2006, you'll now struggle to find an online retailer which still has stock.

Every effort is made to ensure the above price comparison table is kept up to date. However, we do apologise if you experience an inconsistancy in the data.
If you're on a budget then the Kenwood BM250 breadmaker is probably the machine for you. It has many of the features included on more expensive breadmakers but for half the price. Measuring 31cm x 25cm by 25cm, the BM250 makes loaf shaped bread, as opposed to a tower of bread which you might get with alternative breadmakers.
Unlike its little brother, the Kenwood BM250 has a delay timer which allows you to delay the bread making process by up to 15 hours. This is perfect for setting the night before and waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread.
The Kenwood BM250 bread maker gives flexibility, you can choose from a 500g, 750g and 1kg sized bread loaf, depending on how hungry you're feeling that is. There's also a rapid bake function to cook the bread in less than one hour, although does require warm water, extra yeast and less salt.
You can also vary the crust colour with the BM250. Choose between light, medium or dark crusts. In addition, as with the BM150, the BM250 model features a power interruption system. If you experience a power cut mid way through the baking process, the unit will remember where it was and carry on where it left off.
The bread and dough programs include: basic, French, whole wheat, sweet, gluten free, packet mix, cake, dough, pasta dough, jam, bake and rapid bake.

I bought a Kenwood BM250 four weeks ago, it is so easy to use and produces such delicious results. I have tried a variety of loaves and my ultimate favourite is the sundried tomato which has a little parmesan cheese that makes for a crispy and tasty crust. I am totally converted to making my own bread and have just bought a BM250 on amazon for my step-daughter.

I bought BM250 a couple of weeks ago from Electrical123 for £41.99. Unfortunately after half a dozen (perfect) loaves the bread pan started coming loose during kneading. The company replaced the Breadmaker the next day but the new one had a similar fault, this time the bread pan jammed on the second use. Seem like a design fault to me, the bread pan is very flimsy and I guess it gets knocked out of shape during kneading. Electrical 123 are a WONDERFUL company and replace faulty items immediately but the breadmaker itself is a let down.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this breadmaker as it's quite cheap but have been over the moon with the results. My 1st attempt went horribly wrong but that was my own fault for just jumping right in rather than reading the instructions - so be warned the ingredients need to be put in the breadmaker in order!
Since then I've had excellent results, and it is so simple with such fantastic results that I am no longer buying bread from the supermarket I am making it all myself. If you want a breadmaker buy this one.
