With every new model of bread machine from Panasonic seems to come a fantastic new breadmaker that has more features and better results than the one before, and the Panasonic SD-2500 is no different.
As one of the best breadmakers on the market, pretty much all of our selection of UK stores will sell it.

Every effort is made to ensure the above price comparison table is kept up to date. However, we do apologise if you experience an inconsistancy in the data.
This model takes over from where the SD255 and SD257 left off. It is a more basic model than the SD-2501WXC or SD-ZB2502BXC but then with every feature you lose, you save on price.
The key difference with all the basic Panasonic bread machines is the lack of an automatic fruit and nut dispenser. If this is something you can live without, then by all means, this is a great way to save money. And if you think multi seeded bread or dried tomato Focaccia may be on the menu in the future simply use the beeping option which will tell you when to add your extra ingredients. But if you think you are going to be making a lot of specialised bread then spending the extra £20 to stop you having to wait around for hours for the right time will be worth every penny spent.
Panasonic are really getting a name for themselves in the bread making market as one of the best. Though they are not the most expensive, they are certainly not cheap. But sometimes you just get what you pay for. This machine is built to last and consistently provides great bread even if you use it everyday.
Though this is the more basic model, the SD-2500WXC still comes with a jam and compote function, pizza option and even specialised selections for gluten free and high fibre mixes. This makes creating an entire range of healthier breads quicker and easier than ever before.
Obviously there is no breadmaker that doesn't have its drawbacks and the major disadvantage of the Panasonic SD-2500 WXC is the time is takes. There are so many technical functions to this machine, (like its ability to adjust cooking times to take into consideration the ambient temperature and the range of options to adjust the final loaf to your own personal taste), that it can take significantly longer to create the final loaf than its competitors.
In fact, even the fast option on this breadmaker takes nearly two hours. But at the end of the day, the results are far better. And besides, with a delay option of up to 13 hours, you just set the timer a bit earlier and you will have consistently great bread.
Furthermore, a lot of people using the SD-2500WXC from Panasonic have said that the paddle often remains inside the loaf at the end of cooking. If this happens to you then it is easy to take out the little gizmo at the end of the cycle. However, it will leave a peculiar shaped hole which can annoy some of the most diligent amongst us.
Overall, Panasonic have done it again. This machine is sleek, efficient, effective and a great product. It will cost more than the standard breadmaker, but with the quality of the products you get and the amount of time you will want to use it, it can pay for itself in no time. Panasonic provide a range of best selling bread machines and this model is sure to rank up there with them.

Great breadmaker, produces light (not stodgy) bread. Probably best on the market. Couple of problems though:
There's no viewing window, so I have to keep reminding members of my family not to open the lid whilst it's running! The paddle sometimes gets stuck in the bottom of the loaf, plus the machine takes longer than most others on the market.
It would also be nice if there was somewhere to store excess cable.
